One concern for many people is how to keep all of the kids entertained during their wedding or party. One idea is to set up a kid friendly table with lots of toys an activities to keep them occupied such as coloring books and crayons, stickers, toys or even a fun interactive centerpiece.
For an outdoor event, a small tent could be set up with fun games like corn hole. Hire a babysitter to keep an eye on the kids and to keep them engaged. If the event is in a hotel, a separate guest room or board room could be used for games or something as simple as a movie and popcorn. Again utilizing a babysitter to keep the kids together and engaged is a great idea.
When blending families in a wedding ceremony, the children can play a role in the ceremony to make them feel they are also a part of the special day. If the child is old enough, he or she could be the guest book attendant, pass out programs, the traditional flower girl or ring bearer, and they can pass out favors or bubbles at the end of the night. A new popular toy for the ring bearer and flower girl are bubble guns they can shoot while walking down the aisle.
During the party, there are lots of fun options your caterer can help you set up that kids will love. Ice cream sundae bars, candy buffets, cookie buffets, dessert buffets, cotton candy machines and popcorn machines are just a few ideas.
